Lovely work my friend! You have grown so much as a painter in the past few years, it’s impressive.

So my second season officially starts to for my Lizardmen team.

Played two exhibition games already. First game was a 2-1 loss but that was against a team that I received over 200k in inducements so I was happy just not to lose any players.

My second exhibition game was against my division rival and it was a blood bath. By the end of the first half he was down to 7 players including his ogre.

Currently my team, after rehiring fees and such consist of 6 saurus (4 with block, one of those with guard), my Kroxigor who has block and guard, and 4 skinks (one with block, one with + 1 Mv and catch, one with sprint, and the final with sure hands). Have and appoc and an assistant coach.

The team I’m going up against today is a orc team. He only has 2 blitzers and 2 Black Orcs. He does have a troll with juggernaut, and 2 throwers :eeek:

So not a very experienced player. I will be giving up 270k in inducements :shifty:

Depending what he picks up, should be a pretty one sided game Nuffle willing.

So first off, my game yesterday was a win. 2-1, should have been 3-0 but had a few bad rolls in crucial moments.

The guy had a ton of bad play habits I had to constantly remind him of.

Then yesterday I got a creative itch and announced on the group page that I needed to make a dungeon bowl pitch appropriate to the new scale of the squares.

A buddy of mine in Indy sees it and tells me to call him. 2 hours later and he is now currently 3-D printing me a pitch :eeek:

I’m a little too excited for words honestly.

Ooh! The screenshots are tantalising. You must show us pictures of the finished product once it's done.

That’s crazy cool on the pitch! Congrats on the games. How are you enjoying the game? There’s a little following of Blood Bowl here but they mainly play Guild Ball. But trying to watch either ones without understanding the rules confuses me.

Both of those games have a strong following here. I like both games for different reasons.

Bloodbowl is the thing that totally ensnared me into miniature games. I’ve played 40k before but this game, but is what really trapped me in. That’s why I’m all I’m on the latest re-imagining. It’s the same at the core but the optional rules they added can enhance the game.

The few rule changes they made balance the game even more and make the game less one-sided if a bad roll comes up.

It’s a game of odds and makes you think with every move your opponent makes as well as what you do and do not do on your turn. The team progression in league play further develops your connection to your team.

Guild Ball is a bit more freeform on the way the models move but is more straight forward on what you try to do as the team you pick dictates what you try to do.

You are constantly trying to get the opponent in your game while staying away from theirs. It’s more like traditional war game as each team has their own thing.

They never grow so you know you what you are dealing with at all times (and what your opponent has) so it is more straightforward.

That's a super useful summary for someone (like me) that has played neither. Thanks, oldschool!
